Tintin in the Land of the Soviets (Les Aventures de Tintin, reporter du Petit "Vingtième", au pays des Sovietsis) is the first book of the Adventures of Tintin series. It was published in January 10 1929 and May 11 1930, and appeared in album form in 1930. The plot revolves around the young Belgian reporter Tintin and his dog Snowy traveling to the Soviet Union, to report back on the policies instituted by the Bolsheviks. However, upon arriving, He is followed by the Russia Secret Police. Despite this, Tintin and Snowy are successful in discovering the secrets of the Bolsheviks and how they are stealing the food of the Soviet people, rigging elections and murdering opponents.
